We can now officially kiss free speech goodbye!!!
Well.....the honeymoon is over!! Am I the only one who noticed that new administration is trying to silence any media person who doesn't slobber over Obama "The Messiah"? So let me get this right, because he made history for being the first African-American to be President, we must all keep our mouths shut or we will be called racist?
This was Rush Limbaugh's response, to President Obama's comment,
“Now this is the great unifier, this is the man who’s going to unify everybody and usher in a new era of bi-partisanship and love.”
“I think Obama wants me to fail,”. “President Obama, by telling you and the elected Republicans in Washington to not listen to me because I am not how things get done in Washington, he has said that he wants me to fail.”
Limbaugh has said that he wants Obama’s socialist policies to fail. Good for him, for having the guts, that the Republicans in Congress don't have.

You are absolutely right about Obama. It's not looking good for his administration so far. He ran on hope and change, but we're just getting more government intervention in our lives and divisiveness in Washington. I can't say I'm surprised, but I'm a Libertarian and haven't been happy with government for a while now.
It should be fun for me as a political artist and blogger. It's certainly inspirational, and I have no shortage of things to say on the subject. So, maybe he's doing me a favor, and I should be saying thank you.
Are you serious??? Rush Limbaugh...Yeah Obama is no prophet, but to nail him on this one would be completely shallow and missing the point...Quiet frankly people like Limbaugh are all about hate & divide, this has nothing to do with freedom of speech, it's about being responsible and having some class to go with it...
The First Ammendment guarantees you Freedom OF Speech, not Freedom From Speech. I hope you understand the distinction.
If you want to address the term shallow, let's talk about Obama's comment: "I won.I'll trump you on that". Is he a 5 year old having a temper tantrum, or the President.
If he didn't want to hear things he doesn't like, he shouldn't have run for public office. By your definition, that is divisive speech on his part.
As far as I can see, neither one of them has any class half the time, and I prefer not to listen to either one of them speak.
Agreed but Bush created free speech zones for protests. Apparently, the rest of America is a free speech restricted zone. Remember, whether Democrat of Republican party hack, they are both in reality the banker parties. They are promoted on the big bankster owned media while those with sensible economic policy are blacked out. Don't let yourself be manipulated.
Hey machinepolitick!
I like to draw about politics as well. What do you think?

I'm on my way to a show. I'll check it out and get back to you. Just so you know, I didn't support Bush either, but he's no longer President. I'm just sick of Obama's hypocrisy. He's no better than Bush and people need to hear it.
This week has been so Chaotic, that I haven't been able to check my comments.
I'm not affiliated with either party, so I can step back and see the flaws on both sides.
Nader, it doesn't matter if it's Rush or Charlie Gibson. We Americans have a right to say what we want. It's a right given to us by the US constitution. Obama brought it on by mentioning Limbaugh. I remember during the Presidential Campaign, how he mentioned Sean Hannity too. Why would a president care what someone in the media says, even if it's not favorable to him.
I think you are missing my point. I do believe that free speech should be safeguarded and protected. It's our right to exercise, and equally it's a right that should not be abused. It should always be exercised with restraint, particularly when referring to persons who have no right of audience, therefore, defenseless in the face of any irresponsibilty.
Sadly, people demand freedom of speech as a compensation for the freedom of thought which they seldom use...
