Fidel Castro Said he was not a Communist!

Five decades ago, Fidel Castro assured the world, he wasn't a communist, much like Hugo Chavez is currently doing, while systematically getting rid of his opposition and taking over Venezuela's free market. Most recently he has threatened to close down Globovision. Communists though armed to the teeth are afraid of ideas and will stop at nothing to stop free thinking. As tragic as this may sound, I think Venezuela has reached the point of now return.

Venezuelans should have seen this coming, the moment Chavez and Castro became chummy, but they refuse to see the obvious and I understand that there are still people that believe in him.

In this video Castro assures us in English that he is not a communist.

Chavez Wants to be Dictator for Life

In Venezuela, Hugo Chavez is very methodically consolidating power to set himself up as dictator for life.

On Fox News this morning one of my favorite reporters, Steve Harrigan, reports from Caracas, Venezuela, that in Maracaibo, the Mayor has gone into hiding and has not been seen for the past two weeks. He is charges with corruption and Chavez has bowed to through him in jail before he has a trial, so he is hiding out. He sneaks into his office once in a while and signs decrees. He leaves behind a wife and 10 kids. He has many supporters are depicted in this photograph.

In Caracas, the Mayor is not allowed to go into his own office. For the past three months an angry mob supported by Chavez' government has kept him out.

What does all these means?

It means that Chavez is eliminating the opposition just like Fidel Castro did throughout the fifty years his regime has been in power.

Venezuelans are loosing the battle against communism, much like the Cubans have and as a survivor of this brutal ideology my heart aches for their country. May God be with them, because the worse is yet to come......

Chavista Fascist Repression on the Rise

This is how it starts. Right after Castro took over, people were encouraged to go and beat up demonstrators. It was common to hear a communist say to another citizen, "I could shoot you right now and nothing would happen. Houses belonging to the dissidents would get egged and people would get beaten by their own neighbors-if you don't believe me, go look on youtube.

A school would be encouraged to beat up another school, as was the case with father school, the Instituto Politectecnico de Maraianao, who's principal Prophesor Lipiz (a communist refugee from Spain's civil war) had the students build giant sticks thats looked like pencils, and ordered them to go used them on the students at Belen (a private school that the Castro brothers attended at one point). He had them work on these things for a week, even had them paint them to look like pencils. My father refused of course, which explains why we eventually ended up leaving the country.

This is happening in Venezuela, while Chavez tryes to stay in power at any cost. I'm so proud of them for standing up to this delutional nut case.

While democracy was taking a welcome boost in the Washington Mall, in Caracas it suffered yet another set back as we saw clearly how the repressive apparatus of the state is geared exclusively toward people that we disagree with Chavez. Criminals and people who support Chavez can exert any violent action they want as long as Chavez interests remain unperturbed. Thus today while crime keeps it rampage in Venezuela with death rates worthy of Iraq or Gaza, the government sent a disproportionate display of force to repress students marches. Elsewhere as the red shirts of Lina Ron attacked the Atheneum of Caracas (one of their many attacks this week) the police stood by (as it has been doing through all recent attacks).

And what does Chavez do today? He calls for the "bolivarian" students to march in turn, to fill up the streets and to teach the dissident students a lesson. This, three days after he told the repressive forces of his regime to use their strongest tear gas against student protests. That is right, the president of the Republic, the president of all Venezuelans is actively encouraging a group of Venezuelans to go an beat up another group of Venezuelans. For this he will be one day judged and condemned.....................

Simon Bolivar

Today is the anniversary of the death of Liberator Simon Bolivar, who died December 17, 1830. Bolivar was a Venezuelan military leader and politician and one of the key figures in the Americas Independence from the Spanish Empire, along with the Argentinian Jose de San Martin. He contributed in a decisive manner to the independence of the current, Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Panama, Peru y Venezuela. He was given the honorary title of Liberator, by the Cabildo of Merida in Venezuela.

Today, 178 years after his death, he is remembered throughout the Americas.

In front of a monument in his honor, in the center of Caracas, Venezuela, a group of young University students, are beaten by a Chavez mob, while they were trying to gather in
remembrance, of the death of their hero.

It would appear that they haven't noticed, they no longer live in a democracy.

All I can say, to the Venezuelan people, is to have strength, and fight for you country, before is too late. Don't let Chavez destroy your land and your people, like the Castro brothers did to ours.
